Taxissafe TMHow does Taxisafe ™ work?

The Taxi Operator under licence from CAB Business Solutions Limited will use the Taxisafe ™ solution that will allow them to set up and administer the scheme, provide awareness initiatives and training and provide all the infrastructure for you too feel safe.

Taxisafe ™ is effectively a Pay As You Go Taxi Account and only costs £50 to set up. £20 is the one time membership fee and £30 is their pre-paid credit; where a member will be a high volume user the amount can be greater. Additionally the member can set up a regular standing order and a gift scheme can be put in place for Taxisafe ™ credits to be offered as presents.

The member will get a Welcome Pack which includes an agreement, details of their secure Account Number and password (chosen by them), branded membership card (no personal details are stored on this), and how to use the scheme. When the member wants a taxi they will call the priority Freephone number which will also be answered as a priority call. The member’s details will be checked and a taxi will be despatched to the member. The member will know that they will get priority treatment and a caring attitude from the driver. If the pickup is at a very busy place the driver will be able to recognise the Taxisafe ™ card and make the pick up easier for the member.

Once on board, the member will be treated as a normal account job, and since the account is pre-paid they will not have to part with any cash. In some cases they will also save on the fare since they will not have to pay the booking fee if the car is a Private Hire vehicle. If for any reason the fare is extended and greater than the pre-paid credit; because of the membership agreement, the member is effectively able to go ‘overdrawn’ temporarily (which equates to the admin fee). This will ensure that the member is not dropped off short of their destination or there are any embarrassing incidents or arguments over the price. 

The driver will be paid as part of normal account work, the member will be asked to top up their account, and the Taxi Operator has the benefit of additional cashflow due to the pre-paid nature of the scheme.
